Early in semester 1 we videoed Mikayla completing some reading. Mikayla is an extremely competent and confident reader. She reads with expression and is very fluent. She is confident to tackle unfamiliar words, using their beginning, middle and ending sounds to decode them. Mikayla can continue to challenge herself as a reader by reading challenging novels both at home and during reading sessions at school. Great reading Mikayla!
Student Comment: I think I did quite a good job at reading. I could work on putting more expression into my reading and I also need to remember to pause on full stops. Other than that I rate myself 2 thumbs up!!!! :)
